Heidi Wirth
I wrote my first book during Lockdown, and published it in 2022. 'A Question of Reiki', a non-fiction title, was born from my years of experience studying, practising and teaching Reiki. As a practitioner of Reiki for 9 years and a student of the practice for over two decades, I wanted to address all of the questions that come up about this fascinating and almost mysterious subject, and take out some of the myths surrounding it, whilst highlighting its multifaceted aspects, from practical and grounding, right through to the esoteric thoughts, ideas and practices within it.

My next book is a children's non-fiction title celebrating women throughout history and their achievements. I love ancient history, and reading about remarkable women, so it was a natural step for me to combine the two. History's Heroines is due to be released this year.

I have plans for further books which I hope will be published in the future. My interests are wide and varied, and so I write across genres. I'm currently working on an adult fiction novel.
About Heidi
Like many authors, I grew up loving stories. Those with an element of myth or magic have always been my favourite, and as an only child, I would often be found reading... whether that was at home, in the park, on the train... wherever I was allowed to keep my nose in a book!
Stories have the power to transport us to other times and places, and to open our minds to new ideas, and this love of reading led me to a love of writing. Myth and wonder is still a favourite subject of mine, and I hope to continue writing more books!
I live in Norfolk, U.K. with my family, both human and animal. I am a lover of nature as well as books, and my favourite places to be are walking in the woods or by the sea.
